Gail Frances Shepherd

Gail Frances Shepherd, 72, passed away on October 14, 2025 in Yuma, AZ, born on February 2, 1953, Gail was known for her bright and giving spirit, always ready to bring joy and Laughter to those around her.

Gail spent 32 years dedicated to her role as a Financial Technician at MCCS before retiring. She was an integral part of her team and cherished by her colleagues for her commitment and kindness.

Education was a significant part of Gail's early life, having attended Hose School followed by Southmont High School. She maintained strong ties to she Alma Mater, Returning almost yearly to Indiana for class reunions, celebrating lifelong friendships.

Gail's personal life was Rich with love and laughter, shared with husband, Harold Shepherd and son, Paul Joseph; step-daughter, Lori Stevens. She also leaves behind her sisters, Gina McCormick of Indiana, and Gretchen Kidd of Arizona, along with many adoring nieces and nephews.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gaynell Gillis, and her brother Gary Gillis.

An avid bowler, Gail's prowess on the lanes was well-known among her friends and family. Her hobbies provided her with much joy and a vibrant social Life.

Gail's Legacy also includes her profound journey as a heart transplant recipient. She Received a heart in 2014 which granted her nearly eleven additional years of life. Gail and the Sanchez family, her heart donor's family, made history by walking together in the Fiesta Bowl Parade in Phoenix, AZ. Marking a significant moment as the first recipient and donor duo to do so.

Though No memorial services will be held, Gail's Life and spirit can be honored through contributions to the Donor Network Family, an organization that played a crucial Role in her extended years with us.
