September 16, 1946 - November 3, 2024
Known to all who loved her as "Nana ", Hilda Luz Jaime, 78, of Yuma, Arizona, crossed the River Jordan to be reunited with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, at Onvida Health hospital, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Hilda was born on September 16, 1946, in Tacupeto, Sonora, Mexico.
She was the youngest of 5 siblings and the daughter of the late Manuel Jimenez and Refugio Garcia.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Elias Jaime; as well as her brothers, Maximiliano and Francisco along with her sister, Maria Ester.
She is survived by her two children, Victor Jaime (Paria) and Bibiano Jaime; five grandchildren, Kayla, Sydney, Ian, Kylee, Kory, and 6 great grandchildren, Xavier, Elena, Jedidiah, Evelyn, Ibrahim and Yusra. She is also survived by her brother, Manuel Jimenez.
Nana was a strong woman and was loved by her family and everyone who knew her. She adored her family and embraced her role as the matriarch. She especially loved frequent visits from family, neighbors and friends, where she always had a kind word, a listening ear, tons of laughter and a spread of yummy food for everyone. Nana loved to cook for family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nana was a devout Christian woman and was a member of Templo Bethel Church in Yuma, Arizona, where she enjoyed many years of worship and fellowship. Nana, indeed, was ahead of her time and always stressed the importance of faith, family values and education.
Nana will be missed by all.
The family wishes to express their sincerest appreciation of Michel Lau, P.A., who cared for Nana and her late husband. Also, we want to recognize and thank the wonderful and caring team at Davita South Yuma Dialysis who took great care of Nana.
Viewing and funeral services will be on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Desert Valley Funeral Home, located at 138 N. Avenue B, Somerton, AZ 85350, followed by private cremation.
