Jimmie Doyle Obituary
He met the love of his life, Opal Mae Maharry, in 1957. They married in 1958 and became parents to four children. At the time of Opal's passing, they had been married for just under 60 years.
Around the time of his marriage, Jimmie's country music career was gathering speed. He was a natural musician, playing steel, bass, and acoustic guitars, all by ear. Jimmie was further gifted as a lyricist and vocalist. During the 1960's Jimmie created Cuta Rug Music, B.M.I., One Stop Music Service. His success in the music industry peaked as his single, "One More Night with You" hit number one on the country music charts and held that position for sixteen weeks. As headliner, Jimmie worked numerous Las Vegas and Reno venues, as well as his hometown performances at Brawley Cattle Call and The Midwinter Fair. He shared the stage with performers such Tanya Tucker, Barbara Fairchild, Wynn Stewart, Hank Williams Jr., Kenney Rogers and the First Addition, and Loretta Lynn. He was a lifelong friend of Ralph Mooney, steel guitarist for Waylon Jennings.
As the family grew Jimmie shifted his priorities on being home more often. He earned his real estate Broker's license and soon opened Town and Country Real Estate. He and Opal successfully operated this business for forty years.
Jimmie passed from this life at home, surrounded by family, on October 7, 2018.
He is survived by daughters: Cindy (Terrance) Eaton, South Jordan, Utah; Tammy (David) Slater, Yuma, Arizona; Julie (David) Hampton, Yuma, Arizona; and son Jimmie (Daniela) Doyle, Boulevard, California; sisters, Linda (Danny) Holly, Reno, Nevada; and Laurie (Bill) Ingram, Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. He was preceded in death by wife Opal Doyle, parents Roger Carl and Mattie Doyle, brothers Wayne, Richard (Doc) Doyle, and sisters Carolyn Farmstead and Sharon Doyle.
A Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 11th, 5-9 pm, at Sunset Vista Funeral Home. Location: 11357 East 40th Street, Yuma, Arizona. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 12th, at 1 pm at the same location. Graveside service will follow immediately thereafter in Sunset Vista Cemetery.

So very sorry to hear about the passing of Jimmy. Jimmy and Opal would come into the Assoc. of REALTORS and you could really see the love they had for each other. I really enjoyed talking to both of them.

Our condolences to the Doyle family during this sad time. My husband and I went to grade school with Richard (Doc) and Carolyn Doyle in Seeley. Mickey's brother, Mervyn, was in Jimmie's class in school. We fondly remember Jimmie's band playing music in the early days (of his band). Rest in peace old friend. Linda

Doyle family,
Mr Doyle is how I know Jimmie. Mr Doyle was a great inspiration for me as young man trying to find his way in life going through hard times. Mr Dole helped in more ways than I realized at the time, I am grateful to have known Mr Doyle and to have had him in my life. Mr Doyle will be missed greatly. My heart and wishes go out to the Doyle family.

Doyle Family,
My prayers for you all during this time.
Jimmie was a great friend to my father (Alex Morales)who also played drums with Jimmie's band which he told me. When my father was ill at Lemon Grove Jimmie would visit him which me and my brother are truly grateful. Stories they would say about their good old playing days would have us all laughing. A friend with a blessing heart for many.
One time at American Legion in Brawley Jimmie and his band were playing and he even let me play drums on a couple of songs. A little nervous but he advised-
