John Hemmer Obituary
John was a U.S. Marine, by trade a truck driver, and a member of the Teamsters Union. John enjoyed watching cowboy movies, football and visits from family and friends. John kept up with the local softball tournaments and could often be found wearing his Hammer Time softball jersey.
John is survived by son, Jack (Anna) Hemmer of Yuma; daughter, Jean (Mike) Pritzl of San Diego CA; grandsons, Adrian Hemmer, Gabriel (Gibby) Hemmer, Justin Pritzl and grand-daughter, Jordan Pritzl.
John was preceded in death by his parents Louie and Pearl Hemmer; son, Paul James Hemmer.
Rosary and funeral mass will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 5:30p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church 505 Ave B. Yuma, AZ. 85364. Graveside service with Military honors will be held December 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Vista Cemetary 11357 E. 40th St. Yuma, AZ.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Hemmer, Gabriel (Gibby) Hemmer, Leonard Gomez, Vic Bermudez, James Dill and David Echols.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Hemmer, Paul Hemmer, Justin Pritzl and Jeff White.
The family would like to give a sincere thank you to Andrea Moreno and Sylvia Dill for assisting with John's care and the City of Yuma, Fire Station #4, for their continuous efforts.
