Jonathan Leach Obituary
He was born in Rutland, Feb. 3, 1987, the son of Stephen A. and Denise (Caggige) Leach.
He was a 2005 graduate of Rutland High School.
He was employed by Price Chopper in the meat department.
He was a fan of the Boston Bruins.
He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Survivors include his parents of Rutland; a brother, Christopher Leach of Rutland; a sister, Ashley Leach of Somerville, Mass.; and his maternal grandmother, Nancy Caggige of Rutland.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Stephen E. and Norma A. Leach, and Joseph Caggige.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Burial will be held at a later date.
Friends may call at the Clifford Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Lincoln Avenue, Rutland, VT 05701.

I don't know you personally, but my most sincere thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss your handsome young man. It is not the way it should be, to have a child pass away before his parents. When people say that things will get back to normal, that is not true. It is then, when you have reached that level of spirituality and intellect God knows you are ready to experience and achieve the next realm of his creation. Death is merely a renewal of energy, not a loss. My hat goes off to you, my friend, as you have mastered this world in its entirety at such a strong pace. Denise, I worked with Lynette and Bradley on Friday, and made the connection that Jonathan was your son. I am so sorry for your loss. Sons are always a blessing, sometimes a worry. I suspect he brought you all the joys and worries that my son has brought me. I wish for you peace in the future.

I did not know Jonathan personally, but he would help me with my meat selections at Price Chopper. The last time I saw him was before Thanksgiving. I was trying to purchase a turkey and I asked him for assistance because I couldn't make up my mind on which one to get. After helping me for over five minutes,he looked at me with a big smile on his face and said, "Ma'am, a turkey is a turkey." We looked at each other and we both started laughing. He was always very courteous, friendly and he had an infectious smile. He was raised very well. I will miss him! I am very sorry for your loss.
