Mark Wheeler Obituary

We regret to announce the passing of Mark Gregory Wheeler, age 43 of Yuma, Arizona on August 8, 2021.
Mark was born in Flint, MI on January 11, 1978. He was the middle of 5 children.
He is survived by his wife Karina, Children: Jerry, Karina, Adriana, Khloe, Calvin. His mother Debbie, Sisters: Melissa Sera and Jeanette, and his brothers Eric and Dennis.
Mark was preceded in death by his Father, Dennis Owen Wheeler.
Mark was an exemplary athlete, excelling in hockey, football, and baseball, which eventually led to playing college baseball at Rochester College in Michigan.
During college, Mark honorably served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1998-2005 as a corporal. He was subsequently called up to active duty and stationed in Kuwait for operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi freedom in the 1st Battalion 24th Marines.
After serving in the Marines, Mark was blessed with his first child, his beautiful daughter Adriana. He then began his career in the US Border Patrol in 2009 in Havre, Montana. In 2011, he married Karina and was blessed with two of her children: Karina (Lil' K) and Jerry, and subsequently came additional children Khloe and Calvin.
Mark, Karina, and their family moved to Yuma, Arizona and he began working in El Centro, California in 2016. In 2017, Mark learned of his Stage 4 Cancer diagnosis, and fought it valiantly for 4+ years.
Mark's life will be celebrated Saturday, August 14th at Yuma Mortuary located at 775 S. 5th Avenue, Yuma, AZ 85364. Public viewing will be from 10am-12pm, and service from 12-1pm.

Monday will be one year of Mark's passing. He is forever loved and not forgotten by all his friends and famly. I am so proud of his daughter Adriana who is now a MARINE AND A TOUGH ONE AT THAT LIKE HER DADDY MARK WOULD BE SO PROUD, BUT I KNOW HE IS WATCHING OVER HER! Rest in peace MARK we are all with you and your spirit.

Mark´s life surely wasn´t complete here on earth, but he made quite the impact. For whatever reason, the Lord needed him and called him home. I know he´s missed tremendously by you and the kiddos. Always lifting y´all up in prayer. Love y´all

I am glad I got to spend time and see what a beautiful special family you and Karina and all the kids opened your home to me these will be cherished by me and that will last and stay with me. Life is so precious and we never know when our tome comes. Mark, as I read fought to live life to the fullest and when I was there I saw that he did that. I remember him on his HARLEY and Karina worried about him on it, but he did what he loved riding that bike as Adriana and I followed on the freeway!!!!!!! Now God has taken you for his needs and I know you will be looking down and watching and protecting your wife and children as you always did!!! You will always be with them. Rest in peace and I am glad I was able to share a part of your happy times with you. My prayers go out to all of his family Debbie, sisters and brothers and all the kids. I watched a video on Adriana's graduation and I loved the part where Mark said look at those shoes!!!!!! Her and those hot pink satin shoes. Well your daughter is following in your shoes Mark and proud of it!!!! If I find it in the States iI am gonna buy that Chocolate Tequila that you liked from Mexico!!!!!!
