Michael Whisiker Obituary
June 25, 1962 - October 13, 2022
Michael Stanley Whisiker, 60, passed away on Thursday, October 13th, 2022, in Tucson, Arizona. Michael was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma on June 25th, 1962 and with his family moved to Yuma, Arizona in 1973.
Michael graduated from Yuma High School, attended the University of Arizona and graduated from Pima Community College. Mike was an accomplished track and field athlete at both colleges.
Michael Whisiker married Mary McHugh. From this union his beautiful daughter Danielle Whisiker was born, whom he cherished. Michael was an active member of both the International Union of Operating Engineers and the Arizona Laborers and Teamsters for over 30 years. He was dedicated to the craft of his electrical profession in the construction industry. Michael was a hardworking individual and team player. He was everyones go to guy for just about anything you asked of him. Michael loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and close buddies. Mike was most at peace spending time alone in nature. Michael was a loving father, loyal brother, devoted friend to everyone, and a respected coworker. He genuinely loved helping others.
Michael had an infectious laugh, a beautiful smile, and most conversations ended with laughter. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will live in our hearts forever.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Whisiker; father, Lt. Colonel Stephen Whisiker, and mother, Mary Whisiker.
Michael Whisiker is survived by wife Mary H Whisiker; daughter, Danielle Whisiker; stepsons, Richard and David McHugh; sister, Dr. Stephanie Whisiker-Lewis (husband Dr. Michael Lewis); sister, Lois Whisiker-Williams (husband Steven Williams); brother, David Whisiker, and a host of nieces and nephews, Rebecca Hollis, Spencer Williams, Carla Lewis, Kenneth Lewis, Tyler Whisiker, Brendan Whisiker and his faithful pups Bandit and Casey.
Memorial services will be held at Angel Valley Funeral Home on Saturday, November 12th 2022 at 10:00 am. Pastoral services begin at 10:45 am. Angel Valley Funeral Home, 2545 N Tucson Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85716

Mike was consistently nice and such a gentle soul, it was so sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to his wife and children and siblings, especially to Steve and Lois. This is Dee Dee Solomon and my siblings Vicki and Rufus...we send our love and pray for strength and God's peace.
