Moises de Leon Obituary

Moises Diaz de Leon, 84 years of age, left to be with the Lord early Monday morning of October 3, 2011. He was born and raised in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
Moises immigrated to the United States, first with a bracero permit during World II to work on the railroad in California. He also worked in Mexico on mercury mines for US companies and his last employment was a long stint in California in construction and part-time mechanic until his retirement. He served as a deacon for the Spanish speaking congregation of the First Southern Baptist Church in El Monte, California for many years. He moved from California to Yuma, AZ in 2004.
Moises is survived by his wife, Carmen; five children, Moses, Omar, Juliette Seeton and Janet Moser and three grandchildren. He will be greatly missed and loved by his family and friends.
A service will be held in his honor at Johnson Mortuary on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Please sign the guestbook at www.yumasun.com/obituaries
