Ronald D. Stuart

March 29, 1948 - September 17, 2021

Ronald Douglas Stuart, 73, passed away peacefully at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, Arizona on Friday September 17, 2021. His loving family was heartbroken with his sudden departure but remain steadfast in their belief of meeting him again.

Ron was one of three sons born to Doug and Ethel Stuart. He was born on March 29, 1948 in Everett, Washington. Ron graduated from Shoreline High School in 1966 and the University of Washington in 1971. He successfully put himself through college while working a full-time job and supporting his family. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from UW, he started his career and wore the badge of his choice with pride. His humor would put a smile on the face of strangers and make the tummies hurt of those he chose to spend quality time with.

City Laundry, Tub 13. That's what you would have heard if you called our house in the 80's or 90's. He use to always get a kick out of people's reaction when they heard him answer the phone that way. If the person calling was brave enough to ask for one of the kids, then Dad would professionally respond by saying, Yes, they're on tub 7. This little bit of theatrics brought so much light, fun, and humor into our home and it is one of the many fond memories we have of our father.

He is survived by his brothers, children, and grandchildren and his nose carries on as does his family name.

To the community of Wellton, Arizona and Coyote Wash, We say Thanks!. Our father loved being a part of the community, so much that his final resting spot is here.

Memorial Services will be at Wellton Memorial Cemetery on Friday September 24, 2021 at 10:00am.

This is my dad. Liked to have fun and enjoyed out door activities. He was always the one to say ya we can do it!

Jokester, Prankster? Yes he was and I was his little brother, the easy target. He once brought home some fine Bavarian chocolate. I was so lucky he shared that with me. I found out later it was Ex-Lax. I could tell so many stories. He was also the big brother that taught me things and gave me great advice. He kept it simple like explaining work ethic. "If you are going to show up, make it count". We stayed in touch after his move to AZ. Larry and I were able to visit him in Wellton. I will miss our conversations and visits. God Bless You Brother Ron!

I'm so blessed to have known Ron and to have joined his family. He was an energetic cowboy that had a HUGE heart and a great sense of humor. I truly believe he is with Doug and Ethel watching over the rest of us. He will be in my heart forever and I know that I will see his warm smile again.

Ron will forever be remembered by us as someone who had a zest for life. It seemed that it was always full throttle at whatever challenge he took on! We are blessed to be able to say Ron was a good friend. See you again Ron at the City Laundry

I'll miss you, Uncle Ron. Thank you for the joy and laughter you brought into my life. I loved your visits and your call every year on my birthday without fail. I hope to grow to have half as kind of a heart as you. I love you and miss you. Be at peace.
