Sherry Martinez Obituary

Sherry Martinez

October 22, 1955 - September 8, 2023

Sherry Martinez was born on October 22, 1955 at Ft. Yuma Indian Reservation, Winterhaven, CA and passed away at the age 67 on September 8, 2023.

Sherry was a resilient, strong-willed, and courageous women and those traits defined her. These characteristics were part of who she was, and

undoubtedly helped her through lifes challenges.

She had an incredible artistic talent and found comfort with her crafts such as sewing, bead work, doll making and baking. She loved making the grand-kids Halloween costumes just to see the joy in their eyes (also to win the prize). She had a passion for beauty, fashion, loved different hair styles and beauty products, which helped explain her flawless skin and beautiful hair. She loved her sweet treats, Susie's fry bread, laughter (especially Nancy's jokes) and watching murder mystery and TLC drama shows. Most importantly, Sherry loved her entire family, children, friends and animals.

Sherry is survived by her mother, Sylvia Muniz; children: Marla Pacheco, Tanya Martinez and Raymond Martinez Jr; grandchildren: Vincent Shepard, Nacosha Martinez, Devin Martinez, Victoria Tellez and Gabriel

Tellez; siblings: Susie Koteen, Aaron Pacheco, Sandra Flores, Janice Brooks, John Muniz and Tashica Muniz; and 6 great-grandchildren including many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sherry's service will be held on September 30, 2023 at the Quechan Big House from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

We are hugging her in our hearts and souls every day until we meet again!
