Stephen Paul Ramirez

September 2, 1985 - March 1, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Stephen Paul Ramirez, affectionately known as "Phat Boi". Stephen was born on September 2, 1985, in Yuma, AZ, to Rebecca Ramirez. He took his journey home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2025, in Banning, CA.

Recently, Stephen embarked on a new journey in Banning, CA, to start an exciting new chapter in his life. He was previously employed as a dishwasher at Quechan Casino Resort.

A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, Stephen found joy in spending time with his family and friends, whether it was gathering for a BBQ or simply hanging out. His humor was his gift, he had a knack for making people laugh, even strangers, leaving smiles wherever he went.

Stephen is survived by his cherished daughter, Elena Ramirez of Ft. Yuma; his loving nieces, Adriana Bandy of Yuma, AZ, and Rayne Ramirez of New Prague, MN; and his nephews, Elijah and Rayden Ramirez of New Prague, MN. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Stephen is preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Ramirez; his brother, Raymond Ramirez; his grandmother, Griselda Joaquin; his grandfather, Leo Ramirez.

Viewing Services will be held on Sunday, March 16th, 2025 at Yuma Mortuary from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Tribal Rights will be held on the Quechan Reservation Big House at 5:00 pm and ending Monday, March 17th, 2025 at 5:00 am.

Though Stephens time with us was too short, his laughter, kindness, and love will echo in our hearts forever. We will honor his memory by cherishing the joy he brought into our lives.

We will all miss you Phatboi. You have made our life's so much better. I will always remember when Tio Ernie would cook and it was like you could smell the food wherever you were and show up as soon as the food was done cooking. Thank you for taking care of Heidirose, and Mozo. You always have a smile and a joke. Thank you for being in our life's. Love you always nephew!Say hello to everyone up there.
