Carolyn Sue Pettit
ROSEVILLE: Carolyn Sue Pettit, 73, of Roseville went Home to be with The Lord on Friday October 18, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 31, 1940 in Rose Farm, Ohio to the late Raymond and Rosa Savage Sohrenssen. Carolyn was a graduate of York High School, a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, and a former member of the Old Bat's with Red Hat's club. She retired from The Longaberger Company where she was the Mail Center Manager. Carolyn's real love was her family from helping on the farm, cooking, and babysitting her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband whom she married February 15, 1957 Ray Pettit of the home; four sons, Donnie (Ariel) Pettit of Nashport, Gary(Ronda) Pettit, Doug (Sara) Pettit, and Dave (Cindy) Pettit all of Roseville; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her very best friend Brenda J. Hamilton of Deavertown; and her cousin Jim Tignor whom she called her brother. She is also survived my many friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah; son Ronnie; and brother William Sohrenssen.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Monday, October 21, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 33 NORTH MAIN STREET ROSEVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11 m on Tuesday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
