New Lexington - David Edward Martindale, 59 of New Lexington, Ohio died at 1:10pm on Friday, November 9, 2018 at FairHoPe Hospice, The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio. Born April 18, 1959 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Edgar "Bud" and Dorothy Lou Strohl Martindale. Dave was a wonderful and loving husband, a gentle and caring father. He was proud of the accomplishments his adult children are achieving. He was anxiously waiting the birth of his grandson, due within the next week, but could not hold on; it was his time to go to his heavenly home to hold his own Katie. Dave was a United States Navy Veteran, honorably discharged and employed at Diamond Power for 27 years. He was respected by all, loved his interfaith, he left this phase of life in his family's arms. His family was the light of his life, Bella (Pomeranian) was by his side until the very end. Survived by his wife of 30 years, Teresa Jones Martindale; children, Keylee (Lucas) Shumaker, Ethan (Morgan) Martindale and baby, Braxton, Misty (Daniel) Munyan and Trinity and Kiya; brothers and sister, Barry (Sharon) Martindale, Linda (Stoney) Stonebrook, Tom (Lynn) Martindale, Doug Martindale, Toby (Kim) Martindale and Pat (Sherry) Martindale and their families. In addition to his parents, preceded in death by daughter, Baby Katie; grandsons, Jayden and Gavin; sister, Marsha Ann; nephews, Elliott Brown and Tom Tom Martindale; nieces, Mikki Brown, Bayleigh Ann O'Brien and Audrianna Hahn. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 am to 1:45pm for close friends and family on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday at Saint Rose Catholic Church, Main and Water Streets, New Lexington, Ohio with Father Daniel Swartz as celebrant. A luncheon will follow Mass at the Saint Rose Parish Community Center Burial and Graveside Military Services by James E. Fisher Post #376, American Legion, Junction City, Ohio will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at New Lexington Cemetery. This is not Goodbye, this is See You Later.
