Edward Hammers Obituary
EAST FULTONHAM: Edward L. Hammers, 73, of East Fultonham, formerly of White Cottage, passed away at 3:00 a.m. Monday November 9, 2015 at Genesis Hospital.
He was born on March 30, 1942 in White Cottage a son of the late Dana and Gladys Hammers. He was a truck driver for Bing's Furniture and Value City Furniture. He also drove bus for Head Start. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed going out to look for deer.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Deanna (Dunn) Hammers; four children Lisa Taggart, Brenda Smith, Karen Perry, and Todd (Jennifer) Hammers; grandchildren Jonathan (Heidi) Taggart, Angela Maxwell, Bethany (Eric) Wooddell, Eric (Alyssa) Perry, Aaron Hammers, Hannah Hammers, Austin Hammers, Andrew (Allie) Bauserman, Austin Bauserman, Owen Hammers; great-grandchildren Alivia Taggart, Trinity Taggart, Tieler Taggart, Taylor Taggart, Reagan Taggart, Cash Perry, Kaison Bauserman, Camdym Bauserman; one sister Judy (Dennis) Beckman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother James Hammers.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Thursday November 12, 2015 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage and one hour prior to the service which will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday November 13, 2015. Rev. Clyde Boring officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Hospital.

I worked with Ed at Head Start. He made such a positive impact on everyone that he came in contact with. We are better people for having known such an amazing man. Always remember that he will be watching over his family and friends. My family sends their deepest condolences.

I am so sorry for you guys lost your dad was a wonderful person I worked with him at head stArt and he was my son Ashton's bus driver for head start he loved him to death I am so sorry I never got to come see him but I will remember him as a great bus driver of my son and a great friend that everybody loved now he can be a angel and look over all of us R.I.P.
