Ellen Baker Obituary
She was born Monday, April 07, 1952 in Zanesville; the daughter of Harold Roessler and Mary Louise (Pfeifer) Roessler of Zanesville. She was married on Saturday, August 13, 1977 to Kevin M. Baker.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She was employed with primecare, a 1970 graduate of Bishop Rosecrans High School and previously employed at Cellular One for many years. Ellen was a die hard Buckeye fan & lived life with a free spirit. Her love for family & friends was her reason for living.
Ellen, a devoted wife of 32 years, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt is survived by her parents; husband; two daughters, Abbie M. (Steven) Dodson Frase of Pataskala & Keelie (Chuck Goldsmith) Baker; a son, Jospeh (Alysia) Baker both of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Anton Baker and Joey Goldsmith, Jospeh Baker II, and Logan Goldsmith; five sisters, Karen (Larry) Young, Mary Christine (Rocky) Rowe, Diane (Ralph) Milligan, Ragine (James) Butler, all of Zanesville, and Janet (Russ) Powers of Caldwell; two brothers, Harold "Hal" Roessler, Jr., and Michael (Jane) Roessler both of Zanesville; countless neices, nephews, cousins; and a host of dear friends and relatives.
Visitation will be held Sunday September 6, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. with Christian vigil service at 7:45 p.m. at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave. with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday September 7, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Ralko as celebrant. Burial will conclude in the Mt. Olive Cemetery Zanesville OH.
Memorial contribution may include having a mass said or making a donation to your favorite charity in Ellen's honor.
Arrangements are being handled by the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave. Zanesville Ohio.
