Homer E. Green

ZANESVILLE: Homer E. Green, 78, of Adamsville, Ohio died November 25, 2013 in New Lexington, Ohio.

He was born June 14, 1935 to the late Raymond L. and Gertrude Green of Adamsville, Ohio. He attended Cornerstone Baptist Church of New Lexington and was a graduate of Adamsville High School. He served in the U.S. Army. Homer was previously employed by Brockway Glass and Ransbottom Pottery. He enjoyed farming, raising crops and animals.

He is survived by daughters Scarlet Ray of Massillon, Ohio, Marilyn Howard of Zanesville, Mindy (Daniel) Snider of Glenford, Ohio and son, Mark (Lori) Green of Zanesville, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sister Kathleen (Gary) Hootman of Conesville, brothers Charles of Coco, Florida, Floyd (Sadie) of Adamsville, Dale (LaJoy) of Zanesville, John (Mary) of Adamsville, Jim of Adamsville, Tom of Trinway, Tony (Wanda) of Adamsville and brother-in-law Verge (Bonnie) Diltz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Donna (Diltz) Green of New Lexington, sister Janice, brothers Gerald E., Robert Lee and Harold Green and sisters-in-law Eddie, Gertrude and Judy Green.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7 pm Friday, November 29 and 10-11am Saturday, November 30 at Delong-Baker and Lanning Funeral Home, 56 South 5th Street, Zanesville, Ohio. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 30 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Adamsville, Ohio.
