MARLENE K. WHITLATCH

NEW LEXINGTON: Marlene K. Whitlatch, 72, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 10:55am on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Genesis Hospice, Zanesville, Ohio.

Born February 23, 1942 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Edwin and Dorothy Buchanan Saunders.

Marlene was the owner and operator of Whitlatch Bait and Carry Out until she retired in 2003; member of the New Lexington Baptist Church; an avid bowler and ICDM, Missionary for Haiti trips.

Survived by her daughter, Christine (Robert) Gottke of New Lexington and her son, Ed Whitlatch of Junction City; 3 grandchildren, Shawn and Nathan Gottke and Carlee Whitlatch; brother, Robert (Sally) Gray of New Lexington; and 2 nephews, Rusty (Patty) Gray and Rick (Lee) Gray.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband, whom she married on November 28, 1959, Carl Don Whitlatch; he died on December 30, 1995.

Calling hours will be held from 1pm-2pm on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Graveside Funeral Service and Burial will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday at the New Lexington Cemetery, 440 Swigart Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Pastor Art Minnehan officiating.
