Rachel A. Strong

ZANESVILLE: Rachel (Grable) Strong, 31 of Zanesville, Ohio went to be with our Lord on February 9, 2016, after a lingering battle with Leukemia.

Rachel is the Daughter of Martin (Natalie) Grable of Coshocton and Lisa Dovenbarger of Hopewell. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband, Jacob (Jake) Strong, whom she married on May 4, 2010. Rachel leaves behind a daughter, Katelyn Haines, and a son Truett Barkley; two sisters Candi (Jordan) Hurley of Frazeysburg, Kayla (Joey) Havens of South Zanesville; Nieces: Felicity Grable, Emily Spohn and Cali Havens; maternal Grandparents Richard (Betty) Dovenbarger a host of Aunts, Uncles and cousins; Father - in - law Jack Strong, Jr. and Lorraine (Brent) Scott and her Nana Judy Strong.

She was a member of NorthGate Open Bible Church of Dresden, Ohio where she was a volunteer in the nursery before her illness.

She was an E.M.T with Harrison Township and National Trails and was attending college to fulfill her dream of being a Veterinary Technician. She had a love for animals; there was never a sick or injured animal she did not try to help. She had a special love for horses, loved to read and spend time watching movies with her Uncle Brian. She always had a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife and mother and friend. Always thinking of others first.

She is preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents Reverend Harold and Ruth Grable; and Maternal Grandmother Reverend Linda Bell and Jack Strong Sr.

Calling hours will be held Friday February 12th from 2- 4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at NorthGate Open Bible Church on Frazeysburg Rd. in Dresden, Ohio and from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday February 13th at the church where services will begin at 1 p.m. with the Reverends Mike and Mel Foster officiating.

She will be laid to rest in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
