Randy Reed Obituary
PIERSON, FL.: Randy R Reed, age 62, passed away June 4th, 2016 at his home in Pierson, Florida after a 3 year battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Randy was a former resident of New Concord, Ohio. He leaves his wife, Vicki Reed (Pickrell) of Pierson, Florida; his sons Brent Reed and Brad Reed both of Florida; his daughter Staci Yakupcak (Frank) of Byesville, Ohio; step-son Jeff Fenton of Chandlersville, Ohio; mother-in-law Doris Cassady (Fred) of Duncan Falls, Ohio; brother Phil Reed (Angela) of Pierson, Florida; sister Norene Jenkins (Gale) of Virginia; as well as 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie Reed (McGrath) and Everett Reed both of Zanesville, Ohio as well as his father-in-law Ted Pickrell of Zanesville, Ohio.
Randy was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio and was a 1971 graduate of Zanesville High School. Randy was a life-long diesel mechanic and was employed at Devco Oil as well as Zemba Brothers before relocating to Florida. Randy was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed restoring his own hot rods. Randy attended First Baptist Church in Pierson, Florida.
Per Randy's wishes, there will be no funeral service. The family will hold a Celebration of Life gathering on Friday, June 24th at 6pm at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds hall. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
