Rex Lyon Obituary
He was born April 17, 1917 in Morgan County the son the late Charles Gordon and Rosa Wolf Lyon.
Mr. Lyon retired from the Ohio State Highway Department and was U.S. Army veteran of W.W.II. He is a member of the Central Trinity United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ada F. Long Lyon whom he married April 23, 1944; a daughter, Marlis Ann (David) Sever of Hammond, La; grandchildren, Phillip David (Christine) Sever and Robert Rex(Nancy) Sever; great grandchildren, Zoe Louise Sever, Quinn Lyon Sever, Nationiel Ekdawi Sever, Paul Robert Sever, and Joseph David Sever.
In addition to his parents he was preceded by brothers, Ralph, Ross, Ren, and Roy Lyon; sisters, Faye Hayes and Mae Paisley.
Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2010 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom England officiating. Interment will be at Ark Spring Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Central Trinity United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or Genesis Pallative and Hospice Care or one's favorite charity.
