Robert "Bob" Michael Fargus

ZANESVILLE: Robert "Bob" Michael Fargus, 73 years 5 months 3 days, of Zanesville, died at 3:03 PM Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital ER.

He was born on September 10, 1940 in Bobtown PA the son of the late Andrew Fargus and Anna Bellus Fargus.

Robert was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Zanesville and the Tri-Valley 12th Man Club. He worked in commercial sales in the tire business for 58 years, first at Tri County Tire in Uniontown, PA., then with BF Goodrich, Goss Bros Tire in Zanesville, General Tire (Summerel) in Lancaster and TCI in Newark, OH. His many customers were considered friends. Bob's greatest loves were the Christmas Holiday, vacationing in Myrtle Beach with his family and golfing with his golf buddies. He enjoyed going to the many activities his children and grandchildren were involved in over the years.

He is survived by his wife, Paula G. Santore Fargus whom he married July 9, 1960 and was the the love of his life; five children, Pamela Jean (Larry) Harmon of Galena, Susan Marie Fargus of Lexington, KY, Brian Michael (Christy) Fargus of Zanesville, Michelle Ann (Jason) Kellner of Galena, Jennifer Lynn O'Brien of Dublin; grandchildren, Amy Harmon, Hayley Harmon, Justin Harmon, Jackie (Robert) Douglass, Kalie Hennessy, Brock Fargus, Luke Fargus, Ethan Kellner, Paige Kellner, Zoe Kellner, Jilaine Kellner and Allison O'Brien; and a great granddaughter, Riley Douglass; sisters, Margaret Rosinsky, Ethel Rerko, Nancy (Bill) Asche; brothers in law, Leonard (Cathy) Santore, Donald (Karen) Santore; sister-in-law, Linda (Mike) DeLeonibus; and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, George, Albert, John, Andrew and Edward; and a sister, Elizabeth; and brothers-in-law, John Rerko and Alex Rosinsky; and sisters-in-law, Patti Santore, Sarah Fargus and Margaret Fargus.

Friends may call 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm with Christian Vigil Service at 7:45pm on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Ralko officiating. Burial will conclude at the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville.
