Roy Higgins Obituary

NORWICH - Roy Edward Higgins, 61, of Norwich, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at his residence. Roy was born in Zanesville on May 21, 1947 to the late Roy D. and Bessie Martindale Higgins. He served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked at Brockway Glass and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Passwaters Higgins of the home; two sons, Roy (Valerie) Higgins II. of Philo, and Joe (Shannon) Higgins of Caldwell; one daughter, Marticia DeBolt of Dresden; three brothers, Bob (Alice) Higgins of Zanesville, Paul (Ann) Higgins of Lancaster and Terry Higgins of Zanesville; two sisters, Linda (Raymond) Potts of Crooksville and Karen (Keith) Bell of Zanesville; five grandchildren, Shaila DeBolt, Laticia DeBolt, Ethan Beldean, Kieranda McGee and Aaron Higgins; one great grandson, Ender Englehart; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents; he is preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Jalyssa Henry; and a sister, Ruth Ann Dailey.
Visitation will be from 5–8 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at The Snouffer Funeral Home, 1150 W. Military Road Zanesville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday in the Chapel of The Snouffer Funeral Home with Pastor Alice Baldwin officiating.
