Thomas Ellis Obituary

SHAWNEE: Thomas Randy Ellis, 51, of Shawnee, passed away Friday, July 3, 2009 at Sunbridge of New Lexington Care Facility.
Born December 9, 1957 in Nelsonville the son of the late Thomas and Katie McCaig Ellis.
He was an employee of Nitro Demolition Derby, former employee of True-Value, Cheney Tire Service and Ray's Body Shop. He was the Resident Council President of Sunbridge of New Lexington, and Past President of the Miller High School Athletic Boosters.
He is survived by his wife, Marylin Knox Ellis; sons, Thomas Randy (Goldie) Ellis, Jr., Timothy Truman Ellis and Todd Dean Ellis; daughter, Tamera May Ellis; brother, Donald (Jackie Taylor) Ellis; sisters, Lana (Dave) Carney and Tomma (Jim Butcher) Ellis; 12 grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents; he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya Ellis; and granddaughter, Georgia Kay Standiford.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, New Lexington with Father James Casaszar and Father Donald Maroon as celebrants. Friends may call from 2 p.m.-8 p.m. (today) Monday, July 6 at the J. E. Humphrey Funeral Home, 118 W. Walnut Street, Shawnee with prayer services being held at 8 p.m. Interment Shawnee Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Sunbridge of New Lexington Resident Activity Fund, 920 S. Main Street, New Lexington, OHIO 43764.
