To The Srokose Family:
My heart felt sympathy to you all. I worked with John as a nurse through the county health department and enjoyed every visit I had with him. He was a very kind and compassionate person. May you all find comfort knowing he is at peace.

I was saddened to read of your loss. I only met John on one occasion, but his kindness and knowledge left a lasting impression on me. As part of my research for my doctoral dissertation on the Polish Vincentians and Kanty, I met John and his daughter on August 19, 2004. I found his stories both informative and delightful. His passing is most unfortunate, for I am just now writing the chapter of the dissertation in which I will use his memories of Kanty. Please accept my condolences on your loss.

To all: So sorry to read about your loss. I can remember your Dad from many years ago when Carol and I were in school together.
We're out of town for a few days, otherwise would join you in person, but will keep you in our prayers.

I remember John's kindness and smile. He was generous toward all and always offered the warmest welcome. I remember visiting the camp and sharing laughter with friends and family.
