John Gardner Obituary

Gardner CENTENNIAL, Colo. < John (Jack) A. Gardner, 76, born Feb. 3, 1932, died Oct. 9, 2008; loving husband and proud father. Served with the 1st Marine Division in Korea in 1952 and 1953. Active member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Thomas More in Centennial, Colo. Retired after 39 years of service as an engineer with AT&T. Married to Patricia E. Gardner on Aug. 22, 1953, currently residing in Colorado. Survived by his sisters, Mary Jo Diaz, Elaine Herbert, Patricia Gardner; his wife, Patricia E. Keating, and their children: sons, James G. Gardner, John A. Gardner Jr., Jeffrey J. Gardner, Joseph T. Gardner; daughters, Julie A. Wagner, Joeann P. Auerbach, Jillian Spencer; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. His sister, Diana M. Hawkins, passed in 2006. Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, Colo. Funeral Mass services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at St. Thomas More, 8035 S. Quebec St., Centennial, Colo. In lieu of flowers, contributions are being accepted by the Catholic Charities.
