Harry Balyszak Obituary

AUBURN < Harry Balyszak, 85, of Cottage Street, Auburn, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at University Hospital, Syracuse. Mr. Balyszak was born in the Ukraine on Nov. 5, 1922. He was the son of the late Stefan and Mary Baziak Balyszak. Harry was a self-employed carpenter and owned and operated Balyszak Construction. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Church, and an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Harry is survived by his two sons, James Balyszak and his wife Marion, of Penn Yan, Steve Balyszak and his wife Chris, of Auburn; two grandchildren, Kathryn and James A. Balyszak, both of Florida; two brothers, Michael Balyszak, and William Balyszak and his wife Elaine, all of Auburn; nieces, Jennifer (Christopher) Herbert, Helen (John) Bragaw and Christine (Ivan) Lozina; nephews, Robert Balyszak and Michael Balyszak; great-nieces and nephews, Ally, Madie and Jack Bragaw, and Ryan Lozina. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in SS. Peter & Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph"s Cemetery, Fleming. Friends are invited to call on the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn.
