Patricia Blodgett Obituary

CATO < Patricia Blodgett, 72, of Baker Road, Cato, died Aug. 22, 2008, after an illness. Born in Elmira, the daughter of the late Herbert M. and Marie French Redfield, she has resided in the Cato-Weedsport area since 1968. She attended Geneva schools, graduating with the class of 1953. She worked at several area restaurants, as bartender in Cato and Weedsport and also was employed as a Northern Outreach Worker for the Cayuga County Action Program from 1980-1985. Pat played drums for area country bands, loved convertibles and would never turn down a game of Pitch. In addition, Pat also was a lifetime member, past president and cook for the Weedsport Rod & Gun Club. She is survived by her cousin, David M. Redfield and his wife Margaret, of Erin, N.Y.; her devoted animal family; and many special friends that made up her world. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Jewell Funeral Homes, 8886 S. Seneca St., Weedsport. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Weedsport Fire Department, Weedsport, NY 13166; or to the Cato Fire Department, Cato, NY 13033, in memory of Pat.
