Raymond Presley Jr.

CATO < Raymond Presley Jr., 69, of Jordan Road, Cato, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007. Surrounded by his loving family, Raymond passed away at his home after a long battle with lung cancer. Mr. Presley was born on Jan. 24, 1938, in Ellisburg , the son of Raymond Presley Sr. and Lila Rickett Presley. Raymond retired as a quality control inspector for General Electric/Lockheed Martin after 37 years of dedicated service. Ray also, along with his wife Betty, ran the B&R Bait Shop on Jordan Road, Cato. He was a former member of the Weedsport Rod and Gun Club and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Raymond is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Woodcock Presley of Cato, with whom he would have shared 19 years of marriage this December; daughters, Mary (Steve) Connell, Sandra Vivlemore, Jacqueline (John) Eaton , Annette (Tim) Abrams, and a son, Raymond (Lisa) Presley III, all of North Syracuse; 14 grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; sisters, Elsie Holfoter, of Chestertown, Lila (Mike) Stern, of Rochester, and a brother Lou (Linda) Presley, of Cato. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport. Friends may visit with the family 1 to 4 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Presley may be made to the Meridian Fire Department.
