Fred Gibbons Obituary

OWASCO < Fred D. Gibbons Jr., 66, formerly of Livingston, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007. Fred was the husband of the Rev. Marcia Gibbons, pastor of the Owasco Reformed Church. In addition to his wife, Marcia, he is survived by a daughter, Carrie (Jonathon) Spector, of Israel; a son, David Frederick (Lidija) Gibbons, of Denmark; stepchildren, Trevor (Lisa) Peck and Katy (Chip) Wibert; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Joe (Linnea) Serbinski and John Gibbons; three sisters, Patfey (Jerry) Lev, Cheryl Prestige and Vicki (Al) Gawrish, all of Illinois; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Jack) VanderMeulen, Linda Knight and Carol (Sheldon) Hiscock; brother-in-law, Mark (Debbie) Heath; mother and father-in-law, Dean and Eileen Heath, all of Michigan; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Owasco Reformed Church. Visitation will be 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the parsonage, 5117 Route 38A, Owasco, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church prior to services. Burial will be at Owasco Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Fred Gibbons, may be made to the Owasco Reformed Church. Arrangements are with the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., Auburn. FRED WAS THE MAN WHO BROUGHT HAPPINESS TO OUR DAUGHTER. WE LOVED HIM AND WILL CHERISH HIS MEMORY FOREVER. REST IN PEACE,FRED. WE WILL TRY TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF MARCIA.

Fred was a great brother in law and a wonderful husband to Marcia. He loved his children and his stepchildren. He will be missed by all of us.
