Martha Poole Obituary

Retired: Clerk of Court WARRENTON, Ga. - Mrs. Martha Ellen Cason Poole, age 85, beloved wife of late Mr. J. Allen Poole died Wednesday June 10, 2009 at her daughters residence. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Scruggs Cemetery with Rev. Dan White officiating. Mrs. Poole, a native and lifelong resident of Warren County was the daughter of the late Mr. Clifford Lee and Mary Ivey Cason and retired as the clerk of Superior Court for Warren County, GA. Mrs. Poole was a member of the Burkehalter Chapter DAR and the First Baptist Church of Warrenton. Survivors include her daughter, Amelia Ellen Poole Brown of Appling, GA; one son, Gregory Allen Poole of Appling, GA; four grandchildren, Mary Frances Poole Havick, Julia Ellen Poole Presuel, Joseph Allen Brown, and Jason Thomas Brown; two brothers, C. L. Cason, Jr. and Roy Cason preceded Mrs. Poole in death. Pallbearers will be Karl Haywood, Walker Davis, Tommy May, Larry May, Chuck Cason, and Jim McMichael. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Lowe Funeral Home, 77 W Gibson St. Warrenton GA 30828 (706) 465-3333. Ms. Martha was a lovely lady! She was very special to my family. As a teenager I would give her rides to the store when I saw her on her walks. She always had a wonderful spirit about her! My thoughts and prayers are with your family!

I was sorry to learn of the death of your Mother. I was out of town from June 5th until the afternoon of June 12th and just received this information from a fellow clerk. Mrs. Poole was a lovely lady. I attended many meetings with her and always enjoyed being with her.
