I was so sorry to hear about Fred. We grew up in the same era and had many similar memories; we both loved music and also enjoyed golf frequently. I looked forward to sharing music, ideas and memories with him on the Notation Forum. I and others there will keenly feel his absence. Having lost my wife nine months ago, I have a sense of how you hurt. I wish I knew some magic words to bring you comfort, but as little as they can do, you have my best wishes for it. . . mgj

Hi Patsy,
Even though we have never met in person, I want to express my sincere condolences in your loss of Fred. He and I "met" through the Notation Software forum, where Fred has been a wonderful friend and a tremendous encouragement to many aspiring musicians, both young and old. Fred helped me out with a piano project for my aunts and uncles, and so in many ways, his life and music are still touching many lives. Please know that he was loved, and will be missed by many others in our online community as well. God's peace to you and your family.
Love,
Sherry Crann

Patsy,
I don't know what to say. I'm so sorry. I'm also sorry that we can't be there for you. I remember when I was in second grade. Mom and dad went away for a weekend (it was Valentine's weekend) you kept J.D. and me. I was so afraid of those dogs! You showed me how to get along with them. I was so proud of myself because I wasn't afraid of them anymore when mom and dad got back. Fred taught me how to play checkers that weekend. He didn't let me win because he said I wouldn't learn how to be a good sportsman (or something like that) if I didn't learn how to lose sometimes. Now I play checkers with my son. I have a lot of good memories of you, Fred and the kids. I am sorry he's gone, but I am even happier that he lived, and that he was a part of my family. I love you all, and I am praying for you to get past this.
Love,
Robin (Fitch) Bradshaw
