Gloria Vonda Cantrell

Gloria Vonda (Clouse) Cantrell Howard City Gloria Cantrell, age 83, of Howard City, MI, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Metron of Cedar Springs Nursing Center, Cedar Springs, MI. She was born on January 12, 1925, in Hastings, MI. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1943, moved to Battle Creek and then to Howard City 37 years ago. She was married to Thomas Cantrell for 38 years. Gloria worked at the Howard City Library for 32 years. She was an avid bowler and was active in Michigan state tournaments for almost 50 years. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Cantrell of Howard City; 3 children and their spouses, Pam (Ron) Ringler of Cedar Springs, MI, Sandra (Dan) Spear of Battle Creek, MI, and James Barton Richard (Pat) of Battle Creek, MI; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Christ the King Church in Howard City. Donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society.
