Julie,
Allison and I just heard about Ryan yesterday at church. I cannot tell you how so very sorry we are for your loss. We will keep you and your family in our prayers and we hope, somewhere in this tragedy, that you are able to find peace in your hearts.

To the family of Ryan E. Rantz
I Am so sorry to hear about your loss, though I had only met him once (when he was 6) Ryan was a very sociable person whos personality made him very lovable to anyone who had the great pleasure of meeting him. My family and I are grieving for your loss and our thoughts are with you always.
sincerely, The DeMink Family

God's Lent Child
I’ll lend you for a little while, a child of mine, God said
For you to love the while he lives and mourn for when he’s dead.
It may be six or seven years, or forty-two or three
But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?
He’ll bring his charms to gladden you and should his stay be brief
You’ll always have his memories as a solace in your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught below I want this child to learn.
I’ve looked this whole world over in my search for teachers true
And from the folk that crowd Life’s lane I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love and not think the labour vain,
Nor hate me when I come to take this lent child back again?
I fancy that I heard them say “Dear God, thy will be done.
For all the joys this child will bring the risk of grief we’ll run.
We will shelter him with tenderness, we’ll love him while we may
And for all the happiness we’ve ever known, we’ll ever grateful stay.
But should the angels call him much sooner than we’d planned
We will brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand."

May God bless you and your family in this aweful time! I do not know you, your family, or Ryan in any way, but you will all be in my prayers. I have children and cannot begin to imagine what you are feeling right now. Again, may God hold you close in your time of sorrow! You will rejoice and laugh with him again some day soon! May you always remember your precious memories together.

As a parent to one of Ryan's third grade classmates, my heart and prayers go out to all of his family and friends. What an absolute tragedy for such a young life to have to endure- may you all hold close to your hearts the many happy and exciting times that Ryan brought to your life and may you find peace in knowing that he is safe in the loving arms of God now.

Mickey99,
Please tell your family, they are in my thoughts. Julie will need everyone's support to get through this. I'm glad to see you were able to go thru Craig Kemp. They will take care of Ryan like he is their own child. I hope they were able to ease some of the burden.
Ryan - while in heaven, look for my son Jake, he needs an older guy to look up to.

To Ryan's family:
I am sorry for your loss. It is so hard to know what to say right now, but just know that people you don't even know are thinking of you and praying for your family in many ways.

Words cannot express the sorrow for the loss of this little life I didn't even know. Tragedy like this should not have to be endured. God Bless this little boys family.
