Carl White Obituary

Carl Guy "The Donut Man" White Springfield Carl Guy "The Donut Man" White, 57, of Springfield, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 surrounded by his children. He was born in Battle Creek on July 21, 1951 the son of Guy Junior and Elizabeth Jean (Wenger) White and graduated from Bellevue High School. Carl was a baker at the Sweetwater's Donut Mill for the past 14 years. Carl is survived by his 3 children, Tami White of Bellevue, Bill (Angie) White of Bellevue and Micki (Josh) Pitcher of Vermontville; 6 grandchildren, Brett, Kayla, Mason, Austin, Alyssa and Emily; his "granddogs," Buzz, Woody and Noodle; and his 3 sisters, Maggie (Max) Burns, Cindy (Donn) Briskie and Ruby (Tim) Demaray. He was preceded in death by his son, C.J. White and his parents. Carl was a true sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching the Detroit Lions and Tigers, New York Jets and NASCAR. He enjoyed Elvis music, collecting M&M figurines, his coffee, babysitting the dogs and spending time with his family. At the request of the family, friends may call after 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where they will be received 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 p.m. Funeral services to celebrate Carl's life will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert G. Muirhead, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com

I used to work with Carl at Sweetwater's. After I left I still went to see him once in a while. He told me to come see him more, I never made the time. I found out about his pasting when I went costum shopping for my baby and went to show him. I was too late. I'm soo sorry. He was like a father to me, I'm sorry for your loss.

I'am so sorry to hear about Carl passing . I used to visit him at the donut shop. and enjoyed talking to him.

To Carls' family we are so sorry to hear about Carl. He was a great guy and friend. We worked with him at the donut shop years ago. We have sinced moved out of town and dont hear about these things until it is to late to come. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Doug and Kim Schwartz
