To the family of Rick~~I was shocked to hear, today, that Rick had passed. I am so sorry that I missed his life celebration.

I met Rick at the Eclectic Gallery several years ago. We saw one another less frequently after that; however, it was always good to run into him and to talk about art. His is one interesting guy! The last time I spoke with him was at the Battle Creek Art Fair; he was in a great mood and we had alot of fun talking.

I know that life goes on so he'll be making another kind of art in another space/time.

Peace unto his family.

Love from another artist,

As I am so sorry for the loss of our great Rick Green, I am also very grateful that Rick existed in this world to share his love with all those he came in contact with. I express my deepest sympathy from my heart to all of his family and friends. Rick was such a blessing in my life time and time again. He taught me so much about loyalty, friendship, caring for your fellow man, and of course taught me how to "make something out of nothing" as was his definition of art. Another thing Rick taught me was that, "Happiness is not a person or a place, it's a state of mind".

My fondest memories with Rick included "break times" with coffee, doing art work together, having serious conversations about our feelings and the world around us and learning about him and his life, and how could I ever forget waking up from a nap with fresh picked roses from his garden right in front of my face. He was so sweet and original in all that he did.
The memories of him singing and playing music for me always made me feel so content and peaceful. He always said that the only reason why he liked his cable television was mostly for the music channels he listened to religiously.
Rick just loved music and I know now, that his soul has been carried away to a tune we cannot hear, but is so beautiful to him.
Another one of Rick's loves was his animals that he just cherished. Rick also loved looking at the moon and at the stars and relaxing peacefully where ever he was. Rick loved his family and friends so much and he did anything he could for them. He will greatly be missed by me and by so many others; may the love, respect, generosity and compassion that he showed us, help us to celebrate his life!

To all Family and Friends of Rick I give my deepest sympathy in our loss. I had the joy of working with Rick for all his 20 years with the City. The sign he made me for my retirement hangs next to my front door, and now means even more to me. He will be missed by all who knew him.
