Berl Myers Obituary

Berl O. Myers Climax Berl O. Myers, age 89, passed away Monday, September 29, 2008. Berl was born April 5, 1919 in Climax, the son of Donel and Bernice (Selbee) Myers and was a lifelong resident of the Climax area. He had worked for Eaton Manufacturing, Oliver Manufacturing, Barker Manufacturing in Vicksburg and Keyes-Davis, where he was a tool and die maker. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, going to casinos, fishing, hunting and camping. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Virginia L. Knauss Myers on May 26, 1995. His survivors include his sons, Rex K. (Peggy) Myers of Battle Creek and their children, Jeromy (Rachelle) Myers of Battle Creek (Allison), Ryan (Kelly) Myers of Auburn, IN (Colton and Addison) and Casey (Sarah) Myers of Kentwood; Roger (Beverly) Myers of Portland, MI and their children, Robin (Mike) Pline (Jesse), Ross (Darcey) Myers (Brinna, Bethany and Brian) and Ron (Brinda) Myers of Bad Axe, MI and their children, Bree (Cheyenne), Brett, Kevin and Jennifer; a sister-in-law, Maxine (Harold) Kilburn, North Carolina; 2 nieces; and 1 nephew. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Prairie Home Cemetery, Climax, MI, with the Rev. Travis Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St., on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Climax American Legion Post. www.langelands.com 343-1508
