Harry Scullion Obituary

Harry R. Scullion Battle Creek Harry R. Scullion, 83, of Battle Creek, died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 24, 1924, the son of Harry S. and Bertha (Hall) Scullion in Salem, OH and attended school at Newman School in Emmett Twp. He joined the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed in Paris, France. He was an auto mechanic working for several filling stations in the area. Gene Sloiarf, Paulson Auto Electric and at Jim Hazel's Station, retiring in 1996. On June 24, 1948 Harry Raymond Scullion was united in marriage to Pauline Francis Paulson in Battle Creek. She preceded him in death in 1989. He is survived by his children, Gene F. (Marilynn) Scullion, Pam A. (Philip) Ruble, Rick A. Scullion, all of Battle Creek; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. In addition to his wife Pauline, Harry was preceded in death by a infant son Timothy, his parents, three brothers and a sister. At the request of the family, friends may call after 11:00 am Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 11- 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David H. Mason officiating. Interment at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full military honors.
