Dear Mr. Guarniere:
I shall forever miss you. The first time I met you I was only 10 yrs. old and waiting for my mother to get out of a Dr. office she was in. You told a joke to my sister and I that we both have never forgot. Years later, I was pleasured to meet you again. I truley loved your humor and your friendly smile that you always had. I cannot begin to tell you how upset I was when I learned of what happened. I felt like someone reached in and ripped out a big piece of heart. You always had the effect on people by making them feel like they belonged in your family and that is why it hurts while writing this. I hope to see your smile and hear your laugh again when I get to go to heaven. Until then, I will be missing you terribly.
Nick Smith
p.s. Could you have some of your homemade sausage ready for me? Anyone that knew you would understand this comment.

Russ will be missed so much by his family and his extened family as well. I grew up with the Guarniere family as my parents Mel and Ginny Hess were long time friends. Mel and Ginny passed away a few years ago and i am sure were there to meet their dear friend. I am glad he is no longer in discomfort and is at peace. I will forever be his PottyRue and will never forget all the happy and wonderful times we all shared growing up as he was always there for us with a big smile, enjoying good music, great food and a joke or two . I love you all so much and my heart and my prayers are there with you in this time of sorrow. His spirit will live on in our hearts through all of our great memories.

Such fond childhood memories I have. He would certainly light up a room, in more ways than one! A great man with quick humor & silly antic's. God Bless you all. Fondly "Sheri Lynn" Walters-Harrell

The first time we met Russ we knew he was a remarkable guy! His warm and enthusiastic personality drew people to him all the time - no wonder Lee was crazy about him!

Unfortunately, we didnt see Lee and Russ alot over the years, yet each time we did it was like Russ had just talked to us yesterday - he had this incredible magnetic personality!

He wore his heart on his sleeve and it was obvious he treasured his family. He was so PROUD of them and always brought them up in conversations. . . . . .

His beautiful gardens and flowers were truly a labor of love - his backyard a small paradise! How fitting that he will be able to enjoy a more beautiful garden with our heavenly Father -

I'm sure God has been holding a special place for Russ. . . . . just as we will always hold a special place for him in our hearts!

With sincere sympathy to Lee and the entire family-

The Guarniere Family,
Nancy and I offer you our deepest feeling of sorrow for your loss.
I first met Russ at the Spring Lake Lanes. I was in the Air Force at Fort Custer and he served me and my friends much liquor on my 21st birthday, March 2, 1963. We have been friends since.
We again met when he hired into Ralstons where I was employed after the Air Force. Nancy and I enjoyed his conversation and friendship. It was a beautiful pleasure to know him for the many years.
