Vittoria Manarin Obituary

Vittoria Manarin Battle Creek Vittoria Manarin, 94, of Battle Creek, has gone to be with her daughter Adele. She died on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Minges Manor Adult Foster Care. She was born on September 7, 1914 in Fanna, Italy to Pietro and Adele (Canzian) Cimarosti. Vittoria married Carlo Manarin in 1939, he preceded her in death in 1976. She is survived by a son, Pete (Penny) Manarin of Battle Creek; three grandchildren, Anthony (Kim) Manarin, Deborah (Kurt) Esselink and Robert (Jan) Zanetti; six great-grandchildren, Ethan, Chaney, Jacob, Ashley, Adam, and Daniel; sisters, Lea (Bruno) D'Agnolo and Angelina Cimarosti, both of Fanna, Italy. Vittoria was also preceded in death by a daughter, Adele and a step-daughter, Louise Zanetti. She was a member of the Italian American Society and attended St. Philip Catholic Church. Vittoria enjoyed traveling to Italy, gardening, cooking, and she was an avid walker. Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home where a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Philip Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Charles H. Fischer officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions maybe given to Alzheimer's Association or Battle Creek Area Catholic Schools.
