Clarice Foster Obituary

Clarice I. Foster Battle Creek Clarice I. Foster, 92, of Battle Creek, died at Battle Creek Health System Tuesday, November 25, 2008. She was born at Lake Bronson, MN on February 24, 1916 to Albin and Christine (Nordin) Johnson. Clarice was raised in Lake Bronson and graduated from Bronson High School. She came to Battle Creek in 1950 from East St. Louis, IL. Clarice married Jess E. Foster on February 12, 1937. She was preceded in death by Jess, her husband of 55 years on February 14, 1992, a sister and two brothers. Surviving are a daughter, Sharon "Sheri" Foster of Battle Creek; a son, Edward (Deanna) Foster of Harrisville, MI; two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren. Clarice attended the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking. She traveled to all 50 states, to Mexico; and to Europe four times. No visitation or services are planned. Arrangements are by Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Southwest Michigan Council, 1018 North Avenue, Battle Creek, MI 49017. We are so sorry to hear of the death of Clarice. She was my aunt on my mothers side. She was a very thoughtful and kind woman. I will miss our phone conversations.
