Henry McDaniel Obituary

Henry J. "Mac" "Junior" McDaniel Battle Creek Henry J. "Mac" "Junior" McDaniel, 87, of Battle Creek, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at The Oaks in Battle Creek. He was born October 9, 1921 in Rutledge, TN, the son of Voney T. and Pricy Ann (Gilbert) McDaniel. He was previously employed by Rich Manufacturing and had also served as President of his local UAW chapter. Junior enjoyed baseball and the Detroit Tiger, football and was especially fond of pets. He served in the United States Army and was discharged in October of 1945. He was a member of the VFW in Athens. Mac was preceded in death by his wife Betty J. (Smith) McDaniel on June 8, 2007. He is survived by his sister, Jennie Long and nieces and nephews Teana Savage, Marion Sword, Ross Smith and James Smith. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Royal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2008 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
