Harry Crandell Obituary

Harry Donald Crandell Battle Creek Mr. Harry "Red" Donald Crandell, 73, of Battle Creek, MI, died Wednesday, December 03, 2008 at his home. He was born December 18, 1934 in Clarendon Township, MI the son of John Marshall and Alberta L. (Sherman) Crandell. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. He was a truck driver and had worked for Emmerson's Moving and Storage and later retired as the business agent for the Teamster Local #34. Red married Bonnie Jeanne Wilson on September 9, 1965. Red is survived by Son: Rodney Wilson of Kalamazoo, MI; Daughters: Talle Dahn of Galesburg, MI, Mary Miller and Carla Elkins, both of Coldwater, MI, Sherry Gould of California; Sister: Betty Seiler of Girard, MI; Daughter-in-law: Sharon Tenny of Battle Creek, MI; Son-in-law: George Dahn of Dowling, MI; Grandchildren: Scott Wilson, Michael Wilson, Wendi Doody, Steven Dahn, Brandon Dahn, Erin Dahn; and 6 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents; his Wife: Bonnie Jeanne (Wilson) Crandell; and 7 Brothers and Sisters. Red enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He loved gardening and most of all spending time with his family. Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Sunday, December 7, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 8, 1:00 p.m. at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Pastor Steven S. Olmstead of Pleasantview Family Church officiating. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to American Heart Association or National Kidney Foundation of Michigan. Arrangements by the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, a member by invitation Selected Independent Funeral Homes. (269)965-5145
