Mindy Ogg Obituary

Mindy M. Ogg (Belden) Union City Mindy M. Ogg (Belden), 28, of Union City, died Thursday, January 15, 2009 as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident in Battle Creek. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Melvin and Mary (Wright) Ogg on January 13, 1981. At age ten, Mindy moved with her family from Grand Rapids to Battle Creek and attended Lakeview Schools. Mindy is survived by her daughter, Kaylynn Marie Petree; mother, Mary (Gerald) Belden of Union City; father, Melvin Ogg of Thomasville, Georgia; sister, Joani Brooks of Cedar Springs; grandmothers, Ardis Wright of Grand Rapids and Phyllis Ogg of Georgia; stepgrandmother, Gracie Bradshaw of Battle Creek and stepgrandfather, Stan Belden of Battle Creek; and several aunts uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Eugene Wright, grandmother Marilynn Belden, and great-grandmother Alberta Dougherty. Mindy enjoyed humor and laughed easily. She was a regular blood donor to the Red Cross Blood Bank. Mindy had a strong believe in God and attended several area churches opening herself to others beliefs. She enjoyed music, dancing, singing, cooking, reading and working on the computer. Funeral services to celebrate Mindy's life will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home in Battle Creek, where friends will be received one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kaylynn M. Petree Educational Fund. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com
