Lillian Keller Obituary

Lillian Pierce Keller Battle Creek Lillian Pierce Keller, 95 of Battle Creek died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Battle Creek Health System. She was born July 30, 1913 in Beach, North Dakota the daughter of George and Ethel (Krug) Lake. A longtime resident of Battle Creek she attended Battle Creek Central High School, moved to California and then returned to Battle Creek in 1952. She had been employed at Wilcox-Rich Manufacturing Company during WWII and later United Steel and Wire Company. She was a member of the Women of the Moose. Surviving are a son: George E. (Sandra "Sam") Miller of Battle Creek; daughter: Debera (Wesley) Pierce Adams; granddaughter: Shelly (Michael) Thebert; and great-granddaughter: Amanda Thebert all of Rockford. She was preceded in death by husbands: Woodrow G. Pierce in 1964 and Milton Keller in 2001; two brothers: Robert and George Lake and two sisters: Florence Reed and Irma Spriggs. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held later in May at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with date and time to be announced. Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice.

Aunt Lil will be dearly missed. She was a very kind and thoughful
person. To be 95 and so independent.....

What a special person! The last of the 'sisters and brothers'. Aunt Lillian was a tireless worker and cook. She made the best comfort food and coffee! Hang on to that coffee pot, maybe we can't go wrong and all this time it was the pot! Remember the good times!
