Deborah Mann Obituary

Deborah G. Mann Battle Creek Deborah Gayle Mann, 54, the daughter of Jerry Kipp and Ethel DePriester, went to her Lord on January 21, 2009 at the Battle Creek Health System. She leaves behind a son: Michael S. (Jennifer) Mann of Battle Creek; her fiance: Bret Munger; her sister: Victoria M. (Don) Alkema of Delton, MI; a very good friend, her former husband: Ron Mann; and countless friends. Debbie was adored by many for her compassionate heart, especially for the homeless, but anyone with a need, she was an advocate for many. No one was excluded or judged by Debbie. In her youth, she developed her abilities to draw and often sketched pictures. She made many gifts for her family and friends. She loved to create jewelry and personalized items for each recipient. An example of a perfect day for Debbie was to have a friend over, listening to music, while creating a table full of crafts all the while discussing the benefits of herbs and holistic medicine. Deb held tight to her philosophies of life and loved the Lord mightily. That is a gift she leaves with us all. Her love of animals included a special dog named "Pepper" but that did not preclude her mission to visit the animals at the Humane Society with food and treats. Memorial tributes may be made to the Humane Society - South Central Michigan or S.A.F.E. Place. There will be no services held at this time. Arrangements by the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, a member by invitation Selected Independent Funeral Homes. www.bachmanhebble.com

To Debbie's family,
I knew Debbie as a child, I was best friends with her sister Vickie in grade school. It sounds as if she grew up to be a very special person. Please accept my condolences on your loss. God bless you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. While I did not know Debbie, I certainly shared Vickie's concern for her sister. It has been a very long and hard journey for Debbie and her family. Find comfort knowing she in no longer in pain and is experiencing the love of her Lord. May healing begin with the family. I will continue to include you in my prayers.

Debby was one of my closest friends... she would always come over with a treat for my dogs, she spoiled them rotten! We were just talking about selling crafts this summer, she was so talented...I will deeply miss her...
