Wilma Fish Obituary

Wilma R. Fish Battle Creek Wilma R. (Dunning) Fish, 91, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away after a long life and short illness on Monday, February 9, 2009 at Battle Creek Health System. She was born June 22, 1917 in Harrisburg, IL the daughter of William Dunning and Anna Madge (Barr) Dunning. Wilma had worked for the Clark Equipment Company in Battle Creek as a secretary for 20 years, retiring in 1977. She had worked at Woolworths before Clark's. She leaves to mourn her loss, one son: Harold E. (Diane) Morgan, Sr. of Clearwater, FL; one daughter: Carol J. (Larry D.) Burbank of Battle Creek; five grandsons: Harold (Cindy) Morgan and David (Lisa) Morgan, both of Battle Creek, Michael Pearce of Monroe, MI, Daniel Morgan of Clearwater, FL, Russell Burbank of Battle Creek; seven granddaughters: Debra (Mike) Sofia and Carol Johnson, all of Battle Creek, Kelley Scheik of Monroe, MI, Sherrie Adomaitis of Grand Rapids, MI, Kerenda "Keri" (Tim) Bruneel and Alicia Freudenburg, both of Battle Creek, Linda Canterbury of Clearwater, FL; forty great-grandchildren; and 34 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; a brother; three sisters: Marianna Carrier, Clarice Lyons, and Susie Bernice Nichols; her daughter: Ruth Ann Stites (1994); two grandsons: Richard Osborne and Eric Freudenburg (June 14, 1997); and her granddaughter: Jane Louise Mouser (2009). Wilma graduated from Harrisburg High School (Illinois). She married Hathaway Edd Morgan March 22, 1933 in Illinois; however their marriage ended in divorce; she then married Ralph Fish April 2, 1959 in Battle Creek, MI and he preceded her in death in 1992. Wilma had enjoyed crocheting, knitting, working crossword puzzles, dancing and of course bowling. She relished the time spent with her family and special pet "Oscar," watching TV programs and loved to eat Klondike Bars. She was a member of the Clark's Women's Management Organization, the Clark's Bowling League, and a 20-year member Eagle Lodge #299, and a former member of the Central Christian Church. Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service after 1 p.m. Thursday (today) where the family will be present from 4-8 p.m. Cherished memories and services of remembrance will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday (February 13, 2009) in the Bachman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Robert L. Zuhl officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to S.A.F.E. Place and the Eagles Lodge.
