Mr and Mrs Parks were both Great people that helped many young boy's from the Fairfax and Brownlee Park area become Boy Scouts. Mr Parks and his son Wayne mentored young men that went on to become productive citizens. I remember so many great times in Mr Parks troop and then in Wayne's Explorer Post. Mr Parks is sitting above looking down on the many lives he touched as a Scout Leader. If only we all could be as devoted as he was..

Lew Parks, was a GREAT Scoutmaster, I earned my Eagle through his mentoring in 1965. Lew was more like a father than just a Scoutmaster!
I am sure he is already hiking, canoeing, and camping on his journey to Heaven!!

So sorry to hear about Mr. Park's passing away. I spoke with him at lunch after Herky Reynold's funeral and he was as sharp as ever. Scouting lost one of it's true brothers. He is now sitting next to the great Scoutmaster at peace.
