Jacquelyn Schranz Obituary

Jacquelyn L. "Jackie" Schranz Dowling Jacquelyn L. "Jackie" Schranz, 58, of Dowling, passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 at her home. She was born May 25, 1950 in Bellevue, MI the daughter of Jack and Barbara Force. She married John J. Schranz on July 10, 1976 at the Ft. Custer Chapel in Battle Creek. She and her husband, John, lived in the same home in Dowling area for 34 years. Jackie went to the Bellevue School System and Argubright Business College. She worked at Guardian Finance and Advocacy Services since July of 1996, as a payee specialist. She also worked for the Battle Creek Federal Center, VA Hospital and Transamerica Insurance Company. Jackie enjoyed raising exotic animals of many species, sewing and her passion was quilting. She loved her Yorkshire Terrier, Peanut. A special place in her heart was the family cabin in the U.P. where she spent 2 weeks by herself every Memorial Day holiday. Jackie and John had planned on spending summers there after retiring in a few short years. Jackie lived a quiet simple life and never had any desire to be in the spotlight or to be recognized. Her later life revolved around her two beautiful grandchildren and to be involved in their growing up, while being retired. She is survived by her husband, John J. Schranz; daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Van Tuinen; grandchildren, Seth Thomas and Stevie-Lynn; and brothers, Dave (Robin), Clayton (Mary) and Rick (Tami) Force. Her special close friends dear to her were, Marilyn Dunn and Kathy Peacock. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Frank Force. Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. There are no others services at this time. Jenny and I (Jenny1 and Jenny2) were good friends during our High School years and Jackie was like a mom to me I will always remember her fun loving smile and all she did for us as kids. She tought me a lot about many things and I am very thankful to have had such a wonderful woman come into my life. She will be missed. Much love to all of you, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
