Ross Smith Obituary

Ross J. Smith Battle Creek Ross J. Smith, 52, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, March 9, 2009 at his home. He was born June 20, 1956, in Battle Creek, the son of Ronald J. and Georgia (Maugherman) Smith. Ross was employed in landscaping all his life. He first worked with his father at Ronald J. Smith Landscaping and was later a self-employed landscaper. He enjoyed racing, model building, country music and spending time with his friends. He is survived by his sisters Teana (Phil) Savage and Marion Sword of Battle Creek and his brother James Smith of Kalamazoo. He also leaves several nieces and nephews, two aunts and several cousins. Ross was preceded by his mother in 1999 and his father in 2004. A memorial service to celebrate Ross' life will be held at the Old Country Buffett at 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2009. Arrangements are by Royal Funeral Home
