Phyllis L. Ball

Phyllis L. Ball Battle Creek Phyllis L. Ball, age 82, of Battle Creek, died Wednesday morning, March 18, 2009, at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence, Battle Creek. Phyllis was born on April 25, 1926 in Lansing, MI and was the daughter of Milo P. and Arloie E. (Lane) Daly. She was a 1943 graduate of Bellevue (MI) High School. Phyllis enjoyed puzzles of any kind, her computer and loved to dance, but her true passion in life was her family. On June 18, 1944, in Battle Creek, Phyllis was united in marriage to Earl R. "Pete" Ball and her husband of almost 65 years, survives. Also surviving are her daughter: Cheryl P. (James) Craft of Battle Creek; her son: Gary R. (Jackie) Ball of Holland, MI; two grandsons: Matthew E. and Jeffrey A. Ball; her great-granddaughter: Meghan K. Ball; two sisters: Maureen Jenkins of Battle Creek and Beverly "Betsy" (Wendell) Wood of Albion, MI; her sister-in-law: Dorothy Daly of Battle Creek; and by three special friends: Mary, Tonia and Yvonne Ron. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson: Tony on February 4, 2007; and her brother: Maurice Daly. At the request of her family, friends may call on Saturday, March 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek. The graveside service to celebrate Phyllis' life will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 2435 W. Territorial Road, Battle Creek, with Mr. Michael Robbins, of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, officiating.
